Book Meme stolen from
otterdance (aka. Lynn Flewelling, whose books I am currently reading and LOVING!)
1. One book that changed your life.
2. One book that you've read more than once.
3. One book you'd want on a desert island.
4. One book that made you laugh.
5. One book that made you cry.
6. One book that you wish had been written.
7. One book that you wish had never been written.
8. One book you're currently reading.
9. One book you've been meaning to read.
Bonus question: What book scared you the most?
1. One book that changed your life.
1984 by George Orwell
2. One book that you've read more than once.
Dracula by Brom Stoker
3. One book you'd want on a desert island.
Survival-wise: The Ultimate Guide to U.S. Army Survival Skills, Tactics, and Techniques by US Army
Entertainment-wise: Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
4. One book that made you laugh.
Audrey, Wait! by Robin Benway
5. One book that made you cry.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows by J. K. Rowling. I seriously couldn't see the page for a whole minute when Harry buried Dobby. And I didn't even really like Dobby.
6. One book that you wish had been written.
Hero: Book II by Perry Moore - I hear it's in the works, but until it's in my hand...
7. One book that you wish had never been written.
L. A. Candy Lauren Conrad, even though I don't believe she wrote it herself. I can hardly believe she's capable of literacy herself.
8. One book you're currently reading.
Stalking Darkness by Lynn Flewelling (and LOVING IT)
9. One book you've been meaning to read.
Just one? I have a List. We'll go with Tess of the D'urbevilles by Thomas Hardy, though.
Bonus question: What book scared you the most?
Demonata by Darren Shan. I couldn't get more than 50 pages in. It almost made me throw up. If you're squeamish, don't read it. Seriously. Also, Misery by Stephen King. I had to put it down for three days in the middle of the leg/ax scene. I still have nightmares.
