Why does lj still have post length limits? Ugh. I just had to break my

deancasbigbang entry into FIVE parts to get it so that it would fit into lj limitations and had sensible breaks. Ugh. Every time I come back to lj, I like the look of the site less.

BTW, if you're a Supernatural and/or destiel fan, my fic will be live (with ART!!) on Tuesday. Summary available here. I spent most of last night and this morning formatting and posting the story under private settings and drafts on here, ao3, and ff.net. And even after all that, the lj version still isn't what I would like it to be.

Then one day, the scent walks into his shop with a car repair, and Castiel is nothing like what Dean thought he would be. They hit it off easily despite Castiel’s traditional upbringing, but there is one barrier to their domestic bliss: Castiel is betrothed to another.

This version of the alpha/beta/omega dynamic says that they are a different species from humans, evolved along the same line, but from wolves rather than apes. Their scientific name is Canis sapiens; their English name is lupans.

So, not only have I basically left livejournal, but I now no longer have internet at home. Which means I have to leave my home in order to do a majority of my internet things. I don't do it as often as one might think, considering my internet addiction.

On to the updates!

The

hds_beltane reveals were put up last month. My entry was Release.

As I've mentioned previously, I've jumped the Potter ship for Supernatural. I'm currently in the middle of a novel-length Dean/Cas story called: The Trenchcoat Avenger of Truman High. I just published chapter 9, which put it at 56k of probably 150k. Yeah, it's sort of a monster, but I love it.

I'm also writing an entry for the

deancasbigbang, which is currently 15k of probably 25k.

EDIT 2: Living in England really made me hate America for a while. Wow. How does anyone like this story? I was an asshole.

EDIT 3: I think I'm just gonna liveblog editing this. Why did I include so much of Seamus-I'm-very-straight-Finnigan? He had exactly 0 affect on Draco's personality and character development. He didn't serve the plot at all. Would anyone be opposed to me taking his character out altogether? Draco's going to America to meet Smith either way.

EDIT 4: Why did I have Draco sleep with Leopold? He made him physically uncomfortable before they ever even kissed.

In case you haven't noticed, I've been rather quiet lately. This is both because I've been insanely busty with work and moving (!), and also because my new place spread does not yet have internet. So, I only have access to internet on my phone, which only connects when I can get 4g, which isn't often in the tiny town I've moved to. I'll be active again when the internet's up and running.

I am in need of a beta for a fest fic. Since it's anon, I'll only say that it's Harry/Draco/Blaise, is a little over 5k at the moment (I'm not convinced it doesn't need more written to fill it out, but that's something I'm hoping my beta can help with), and is all kinds of nc17.

It's not sure until July 1, so there's plenty off time. I'm looking for help with plot consistency, characterization, and the whole does it need more question.

I've decided to try a Blaise Big Bang regardless of what the RonBB people say about me taking over for them. I like the idea that I can chose the time frame, since there's not much canon on him. Would anyone write/draw for it?

I've signed up for 3 fests this summer to write 4 stories, and I think I want to sign up for more in the art category (I just started learning to paint with watercolors and I want to try some fandom stuff). Have I lost my mind?

[No!] I know the Draco one isn't (and I'm honestly tempted to see if the former mods would let me take over and get it started again). I really liked modding ron_draco_fest and now I want to do another, but I don't know what to do. Do you think anyone would go for a Blaise/Harry fest? I'm sort of loving the pairing right now.

Oh, and the next Law of Averages ficlet should be done and ready for beta tonight. It's going to be around 5-6k and my first straight bdsm. I'm a little nervous.

I haven't seen any of season 4 of Glee, but all the Kurt/Blaine gifs on tumblr are seriously making me re-think my choice to give the show up. Be honest, would I regret it if I decided to watch?

PS- tumblr has made it very clear that they are no longer together, but the feels are a bit much for me to ignore.

I need it. I'm working on about 4 stories at once right now, only one of them with an actual due date, ~~knitting a hat for my niece~~, a sweater I'm planning to sell the pattern for, and I'm addicted to playing Gothic. You would think the deadlines would give me at least a little focus, but my Change of Form* muse just up and bit me in the ass, thanks to an excellent exchange with a reader of Dept over on ff.net, and I really just want to put the BWNM prequel to bed so I can move on.

*The working title for my Dept sequel.

I spent my first morning of Comic Con manning James Marters' booth (which was conveniently located across from William Shatner's booth), only to be sent immediately to Tom Felton's booth, and then to his panel session, which I got to sit in on. That's right people. I got to man Tom Felton's booth! I stood within one foot of him for long periods of time! And I got to see his panel, where he talked at length about fanfiction and tried to deny that he's read a lot of it. And also became someone's tree-hugging friend. That part was a littler weird.

It was exhausting, and I have two massive blisters, and I didn't get to take any pictures, but it was still the best day I've had in a while! I can't wait to go back tomorrow!

Did I miss the episode where Mercedes apologized for being a complete bitch to Rachael and the group and was forgiven? Because I’m still super pissed at her, and I hate her face. Also, she doesn’t deserve Sam. Or that super-cute football player whose name I completely forgot. Also, the whole everyone accepting her back into glee club when she basically tried to destroy them doesn't make sense to me. Santana? Yes. She was clearly such a crank because of the repressed lesbianism. Mercedes had not similar explanation. She's just bitchy.

As excited as I am to be on the site, I can't help the WTF-ness I am feeling. I do NOT understand the spellcasting, and now I'm stuck on the last scene of chapter 9 of SS because I can't open the damn door. What am I missing? The instructions makes NO SENSE. Figured it out last night by looking at someone's blog, but the instructions still make no sense, and they need to fix it.

Also, are they planning on getting bigger bandwith and server capacity before they open to the general public because I haven't been able to connect for more than ten minutes all afternoon and evening.
