Knitting Commissions
11/3/09 13:02In an effort to make some extra money, I have decided to take on commissions. As some of you may have noticed from a few of my posts, I am a knitter, and an advanced one at that.
A few years ago, someone on my friends list made a plea for one of her friends to knit her a Clapotis. At the time, I did not think I was advanced enough to do it, so I passed on offering my services. The thought has always been in the back of my mind, though, and more so lately as Grad school and student loan payments loom near. In the intervening years, I have become a rather advanced knitter, to the point where I teach a beginner's knitting course at the library I work at and have successfully taught several others the craft. At this point, I feel confident enough to say that I could handle any pattern thrown my way.
So, if you have ever wanted your own House scarf or a replica of the mittens Bella wears in Twilight or a Weasley sweater, or even a knitted object completely unrelated to fandom, I can make it for you. Prices will vary depending on the size and required yarn for each project, of course. Either send me an email at rons.pigwidgeon@gmail.com or reply to this post with the desired project, and I will get back to you with the measurements I need (if it is a garment), and then a price quote.
Thanks and have a good day!
